I am so pleased with the transformation of my wardrobe - I thought that I’d already sorted through my clothes before the session but seeing everything spread out in front of me would have been quite daunting without Katrina’s help. She manages to strike the balance between being friendly and professional just right and we worked together to find the best solution for me - that was really important to me, rather than feeling that I had to conform to a specific method to make this work.
We adore books and reading them. My daughter’s book collection had grown to an unmanageable size. Her current favourites and special books are now arranged as her ‘rainbow books’ on her bookshelf. She loves them being in rainbow order and sings a little song of colours when putting them back in place.
I have had the most incredible experience thanks to Katrina. Yes, she taught me the principles of The KonMari Method™, but more than that she helped adjust it to suit me, my business and my home.
Katrina came to my home to help me start my KonMari™ journey by helping me to sort through my wardrobe and declutter. She then helped to arrange the clothes and other items in a way that has enabled me to be able to see more clearly what I have and amazingly I now find they are actually more comfortable to wear when stored neatly! A friend has since commented that they didn’t think I’d have time to arrange my clothes so neatly, but I actually find it saves me time as I now know where everything is in my wardrobe - no more frantic rummaging for a pair of socks - I can clearly see them all when I open my drawer!I had read the Marie Kondo book a few years ago but had failed to get going with the process. Katrina was just what I needed! She has a calm and straightforward approach. She understands the process well and helped to gently guide and keep me focused. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Katrina.
I previously had a miss match of cheap tacky plastics mixed with precious family heirlooms and I had once lost a valuable earing because it was poorly stored. Now I can see my favourites at a glance every day, I change my jewellery more often because alternatives are in sight and I have piece of mind knowing where the valuable ones are.
Since my kitchen has been done I’ve been inspired to actually take pride in it and clear up straight away rather than just create a pile of dishes.Few things had a proper home and storage was stuffed full of useless stuff. Now that more space has been made putting things away is much easier and having a clear kitchen is so satisfying.
Toys: a single word, but it’s implication was ‘overwhelm’ to me. Katrina totally transformed my perception of them. Now they’re beautifully stored! Incredible.
My favourite cupboard is our art cupboard: as I run a childcare business our arts and crafts are vast, so our supplies are just as vast. Each thing has it’s own little space beautifully and clearly labelled. This means that nothing unnecessarily kept or bought.
I had read the ‘Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up’ and loved the concept but struggled to find the time and motivation to start my journey. However Katrina changed that for me completely in just two evenings. We went through my entire wardrobe (and some of my husband’s!) and it was amazing. I had never managed to clear out my clothes properly before and was worried about how I would feel getting rid of things, but I actually loved it. Katrina made the whole process so easy and enjoyable, taking the time to explain the method to me and really making me think about what I had in my wardrobe and if it sparked joy. My sessions with Katrina completely changed how I think about my possessions and now I open my wardrobe and am happy to see all the clothes inside, and find it much easier to find an outfit I feel good in. I am now working hard to apply The KonMari Method™ to the whole of our house and life. It’s taking some time due to me having two small boys but my sessions with Katrina were a definite catalyst and inspired me to apply the method to other areas. Friends and family have noticed a difference in our home. I would thoroughly recommend working with Katrina and The KonMari Method™ to transform your home and life.
I am starting to have more time to myself than facing endless chores and I feel happier for it. We’ve still some more categories to tackle some I feel confident to do myself and some I just find overwhelming and don’t know where to begin so Katrina will be guiding me through it. I’ve come to the conclusion that The KonMari Method™ is like staying fit, it’s not just a crash diet or mega clear out, it’s a change in your way of life and it’s definitely beneficial.Katrina is the perfect consultant for this process she is patient and understanding when I’m being indecisive yet firm and able to offer solutions when needed.Just sorting through the laundry cupboard highlighted too many duplicates and sheets that no longer fit the size beds we have. Now I have an efficient amount of spares ready to be used when sheets and towels need changing.
I couldn’t believe that I found 7 bottles of deodorant stashed all over the house! They’re now all in one place, and I wont need to buy any for half a year!
Recently I had to dress in business wear for the first time since we redid my cupboard. I was actually excited knowing exactly what I was going to wear and where each item was stored. I don’t normally ever get excited about getting dressed; to me it’s just a practical thing. But today I definitely found joy in my clothes and cupboard beautifully organised.
Having these books stored so nicely really makes such a difference to the atmosphere of the room. Bedtime is supposed to be calm and relaxing, not a chaotic mess!
I could buy the book, learn the principles and try apply them. But with Katrina holding my hand and guiding me through the process my home has become one great big JOY to live in. Katrina - you are my hero. Thank you so much.
I hate Tupperware, it’s so messy. Not anymore ~ I adore my kitchen Tupperware cupboard. The rainbow ordering puts a smile on my face every day when unpacking the dishwasher. It’s the simple pleasures.
For my husband and I, our biggest arguments stem from a single cupboard. The order that spices and herbs are stored in has to make sense for the people using them. Searching for the right way to store them was always difficult, but with Katrina’s help, they are now ordered in a way which works for the both of us.
I have loads of children’s books for the childcare I provide. They were everywhere! They are now organised, categorised and easily accessible according to the themes I teach by.
I was dreading tackling my sentimental cards, letters and daughter’s artwork. I had boxes of it! Katrina and I did my spark joy checks with each item and after really valuing each one; I was able to keep the very special items. It was much easier than I expected.
Katrina has been helping me for a while now and it’s really made a massive difference.Piles of paper work to be sorted including important documents to be found had been hanging over me for years and in one session it was done and my mind clear. The task of sorting through these boxes had hung over me for years, frightened of loosing important documents I kept everything but each time I required something it took me hours to find. In one session the boxes turned into a few files and anything I need is to hand in minutes, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted.
Katrina has transformed my wardrobe. I can now see what clothes I have and it makes it so much easier to manage. We got rid of 7 bin bags, which were all donated to charity so I was able to help a good cause at the same time. It has also stopped me from buying duplicate outfits as I can see what I already have. Katrina was a pleasure to work with and I look forward to her transforming other areas of my home. Everyone I show the photos to are extremely jealous of my lit up shoe closet! I would thoroughly recommend Katrina.
I no longer used many of these lotions and they were scattered everywhere, in my bed room and in two bathrooms. I’d never had a clear out of them and so they space that has been made is brilliant. I now only have what I use to hand and also came across some forgotten useful bottles. Out of date medicines have been replaced and we are fully stocked for medical issues.
My clothes are now all visible and I wear so much more than just what was at the top of the washing pile.I had 30 pair of black tights! I had no idea until we gathered them all together so now I have a sensible collection of 7. ‘Seasonal’ clothes have been rescued from the suitcase, under the bed or in the loft eves and are now stored in my wardrobe so I can see them. I used to hesitate buying new things because I couldn’t remember if I already had something similar or if the new item would match other clothes of mine. It’s clear to see now what I have and if I actually need to buy anything new. Before I got carried away throwing things out, only keeping items that sparked joy, we discussed functional items that enable my work or going for muddy dog walks which are activities that do spark joy, so the old clumpy trainers stayed and when I open the draw and see them they make me smile.
I was worried about the dreaded kitchen cupboards. We thought we’d need more storage since the day we moved in. No, the items just needed some organising - it’s now practically stored and functional. We love it!
Katrina came to the rescue when the house felt like it was overwhelming us with washing and ‘things’ everywhere. A few gentle and therapeutic sessions later and now I get a rush of happiness when I open my wardrobe - it’s a thing of beauty after years of being stuffed to the rafters. We got a chance to revisit precious memories and focus on what brought us joy as a family. This is a life changer. I cannot recommend Katrina and The KonMari Method™ enough... she is so wonderful at guiding you to create a space that brings so much happiness (and tidying becomes ridiculously easy after...)
Katrina’s method to her work is very unique. She is warm and extremely professional. Through being personable, she was able to explain to me a new approach to keeping belongings. Decluttering truly shows you how much we all don’t really need. Thank you so much Katrina.
Our countertops are clear! We now have so much space. It looks much cleaner and neater too! I now follow the mantra: ‘A place for everything and everything in it’s place.’
